ENHANCED GLOBAL CAPABILITY MEANS IMPROVED LOCAL SUPPORT Brooks Automation is committed to our customer's success. In 2006 and 2007 Brooks made major investments to help improve our service to you by expanding our global repair capabilities in Jena, Germany and Kiheung, Korea. In addition, Brooks expanded the Chelmsford repair operation capabilities to perform more copper exposed repairs.
Brooks has an extremely diverse product set which does create some unique challenges for our customers regarding spare parts availability and management. To help minimize the effect of these challenges, Brooks has also invested significantly into our global service spare parts inventory. By doing this, our customers saw an improved global hit rate of spare parts by >85% over the last 18 months. The global hit rate includes emergency spare parts needed either in the region or to be shipped within 24 hours from another region. But we do not plan to stop there. Brooks will be continuing our global repair expansion plans to put repair capability closer to you. For 2008, Brooks will be adding repair capabilities into our new office in Taiwan as well as adding additional repair capabilities into mainland China and Japan. Brooks will also be adding additional spare parts into many of the local regions to continue to improve our spare parts hit rate. What does all this mean for you? These investments will provide improved repair cycle time, faster response times and parts available when you need them the most. |
