In July of 2006, Synetics Solutions Inc., formerly a subsidiary of Yaskawa Electric Corporation, was wholly acquired by Brooks Automation. The transaction was one part of a multi-faceted agreement that launched a new Brooks-Yaskawa joint venture in Japan and opened the door to a new era in semiconductor automation. All three companies continue to work together closely to bring "best in class" automation systems to North America, Japan, and the world.
