Synetics offers SCARA (Selective Compliant Assembly Robot Arm) robots manufactured by both Brooks Automation and Yaskawa Electric Corporation. These robots typically have three or more axes of motion and are designed for high reliability and extremely repeatable motion. These robots feature absolute encoders with integral battery backup on all axes. They are also designed for multi-axis coordinated motion, meaning that all axes of motion begin and end each movement simultaneously. Coordination gives the robot a smoother motion, which also increases reliability, throughput, and wafer-placement accuracy. Our newest SCARA robots are all compatible with both vacuum and end grip end effectors. See below for a basic description of each model. - M101: Single-arm, two-arm-link, 3-axis robot. Base mounted.
- M201: Dual-arm, two-arm-link, 4-axis robot. Base mounted.
- M112: Single-arm, single yaw (one end effector), 2-arm-link, 4-axis robot. The M112 is capable of both radial and off-axis motion and can reach two FOUPs from a fixed position. Base or flange mounted.
- M122: Single-arm, dual yaw (two end effectors), 2-arm-link, 5-axis robot. The M122 is capable of both radial and off-axis motion and can reach two FOUPs from a fixed position. Base or flange mounted.
