TRANSNET MCS 2.X
The purpose of this course is to teach how to operate and maintain Windows NT, Configure and Test TransNet MCS, Recover from errors, Run and configure PageMaster, and Report Errors. Microsoft SQL (standard Query Language) scripting is included to Maintain All Databases. TCP/IP configuration and Clustering/Failover operations are included. The TransNet suite of Stocker AeroTrak and MCS communications are covered in great detail, to allow the student to formulate methods for effective trouble shooting in a system wide arena.
Prerequisites The trainee should already be familiar with Windows (95/98 or NT Preferable) to include:
CIT and Integration Engineers must have satisfactorily completed the Brooks AeroTrak NT and Stocker NT courses (waivers are granted on a case-by-case basis, administered by the instructor) within 1 year of course convening date. The completion of the Brooks Bare Reticle Stocker/Combination Stocker satisfies the Brooks Stocker course Requirement.
Audience AMHS technicians, maintenance technicians, technical support engineers, field service engineers, and application engineers.

Course Objectives Upon completion of this course, the trainee should be able to perform the following:
- Explain and Operate the TransNet/MCS Graphic User Interface
- Create Moves and Recover from errors using established techniques
- Create Exercises to Test and Fine Tune the AMHS
- Explain the purposes of the SQL Databases used by the MCS
- Explain in detail Communication Flow in the Brooks AMHS
- Explain in detail the operation of all Failovers
- Explain and Perform the setup of PageMaster
- Perform PageMaster Testing
- Explain and Perform Installation of Network Cards and software setup
- Edit, Prepare and Name Logs for shipment to Brooks Automation
- Troubleshoot system failures
- Solve Configuration problems inserted by the Instructor
- Interface with Brooks Automation service personnel on high level problems
Additionally, Brooks CIT/CSE and Integration Engineers will be able to:
- Manipulate Databases Used by The MCS (Using Microsoft SQL Scripting)
- Add Equipment (Real and Simulated ) to the PRI AMHS domain
- Explain and Perform the installation and testing of all failovers
