The Brooks’ high-speed horizontal motion AcuTrav atmospheric traverser permits a robot to access multiple process tools, load ports, and cassette staging locations within advanced semiconductor fabs. The AcuTrav utilizes a direct drive mechanism that allows for high speed motion comparable to that of Brooks’ Reliance robot family.
